Shakti Pumps (India) Ltd has announced that it has received a Letter of Empanelment from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) for the supply and installation of 16,025 off-grid DC solar photovoltaic water pumping systems across Maharashtra. The project falls under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana / PM-KUSUM B Scheme.
The contract covers DC solar pumps of 3 HP, 5 HP, and 7.5 HP, with a total project value of ?443.78 crore (inclusive of GST). The work order value before taxes stands at ?407.51 crore.
The scope of work includes design, manufacturing, supply, transport, installation, testing, and commissioning of the off-grid solar pumping systems. As per the terms, the project must be completed within 60 days from the issuance of the work order or Notice to Proceed (NTP).
Shakti Pumps confirmed that the awarding entity is domestic and clarified that neither the promoter group nor related parties have any interest in MSEDCL. The contract does not fall under related party transactions.
