PDS Limited Secures SBTi Validation for Net-Zero Climate Targets

PDS Limited, a global fashion supply chain solutions company, has received official validation from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for its net-zero greenhouse gas emissions targets for FY2050. The approval confirms that the company’s climate commitments are aligned with science-based pathways consistent with the goals of the Paris Agreement.

The validation highlights PDS’s long-term focus on embedding sustainability across its global value chain and accelerating climate action in collaboration with customers, suppliers, and industry partners. Through data-driven insights and robust methodologies, the company aims to build a low-carbon, resilient supply chain while progressing toward net-zero emissions.

As part of its commitments, PDS aims to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 42% by FY2030, cut absolute Scope 3 emissions by 25% by FY2030, and achieve net-zero emissions across its value chain by FY2050.

Commenting on the milestone, Sanjay Jain, Group CEO, said that securing SBTi approval reinforces PDS’s commitment to structured, data-led carbon reduction efforts across its value chain. He added that the company remains focused on delivering meaningful, science-backed climate impact while working toward its net-zero goal.

Paul Wright, Group ESG Director, said the targets are grounded in global best practices and supported by a clear roadmap to reduce emissions across Scopes 1, 2, and 3. He emphasized the importance of collaboration with partners and continued investment in low-carbon solutions to achieve these goals.

PDS said it systematically tracks and monitors Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions across its manufacturing facilities and major office locations. The company has implemented several sustainability initiatives, including solar energy adoption, mangrove restoration projects, increased use of recycled fabrics, and other measures aimed at lowering its overall carbon footprint.

The company’s approved near-term and long-term climate targets will be published on the SBTi website in line with the initiative’s guidelines.
