JSW Energy (Utkal) Limited, a subsidiary of JSW Energy, has entered into a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with multiple Karnataka DISCOMs for 400 MW of power supply starting April 1, 2026, for a 25-year period at a tariff of Rs 5.78 per kWh.
With this agreement, the company’s open capacity has reduced to around 5% of its operational base, enhancing long-term revenue visibility and lowering portfolio risk.
JSW Energy’s locked-in generation capacity now totals 30.5 GW, which includes 13.3 GW operational, 12.4 GW under construction, 150 MW hydro under acquisition, and a 4.6 GW development pipeline. Additionally, the company has secured 29.4 GWh of energy storage capacity, spanning hydro pumped storage and battery systems.
The company reaffirmed its strategic targets of reaching 30 GW of generation and 40 GWh of storage capacity by FY2030, while staying on course for carbon neutrality by 2050.
