The bank reported standalone net profit of Rs 1,002.50 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 as compared to Rs 684.25 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-yearÿgrowthÿof 46.51 per cent.
Interest income of the bank declined by 7.78 per cent at Rs 11309.94 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 as against Rs 12263.88 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During the April-June quarter, total income dipped moderately by 9.19 per cent to Rs 13,095.30 crore from Rs 14,420.12 crore in the year ago period.
Meanwhile, operating expenses dropped by 11.52 per cent to Rs 10,412.14 crore from Rs 11,767.96 crore in the same period last year.
Operating profit surged 1.17 per cent to Rs 2,683.16 crore from Rs. 2,652.16 crore.
Provisions and Contingencies slipped by 22.89 per cent at Rs 1,339.92 crore from Rs 1,737.78 crore a year ago.
NII, the difference between interest earned on loans and interest paid on deposits, increased by 0.97 per cent at Rs 4,684.72 crore versus Rs 4,639.82 crore in the year ago period. Non-interest income dipped 17.20 per cent year-on-year to Rs 1,785.36 crore.
On the asset side, gross non- performing assets (NPAs)ÿfellÿto 3.25 per cent of the gross advances as at the end of June 30, 2026 from a level of 3.64 per cent year earlier. Its net NPAs or bad loans tooÿdeclinedÿto 0.95 per cent of net advances on June 30, 2026 from 1.12 per cent a year ago.
