Coforge Limited is expanding its automotive engineering capabilities under its new Telecom, Media, Automotive and Energy Solutions (TMAE) vertical, focusing on connected vehicles, electric vehicles (EVs), software-defined vehicles and next-generation automotive platforms.

The company’s automotive engineering practice currently comprises around 300 professionals across Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, India, Europe and the US, with plans for further expansion. The expanded team will combine expertise in mobility software, connectivity, cloud, cybersecurity, vehicle systems and artificial intelligence (AI).

Coforge offers end-to-end engineering services across the vehicle lifecycle, covering software development and integration, system architecture, simulation and validation, testing, deployment and ongoing software updates.

Its capabilities include vehicle software, connected vehicle platforms, over-the-air (OTA) management, V2X connectivity, edge-cloud technologies, navigation, vehicle data platforms and EV fleet management. The company also applies AI to areas such as predictive maintenance, intelligent inspection and user authentication, while exploring physical AI applications in automotive manufacturing.

Coforge has delivered engineering projects for OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers and ecosystem partners across areas including vehicle cybersecurity, phone-as-a-key technology, connected vehicle platforms, EV fleet management, V2X features, AI-driven inspection and navigation solutions.

The company said the expansion reflects the growing shift towards software-defined and connected vehicles, where software, AI, cloud and cybersecurity are becoming increasingly central to vehicle development and customer experience. Coforge aims to leverage its AI-native engineering capabilities to help automotive companies design, integrate and validate next-generation vehicle technologies.
