State-owned Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has entered into an agreement with Titagarh Rail Systems Limited (TRSL) to establish a joint venture (JV) for the comprehensive maintenance of Vande Bharat sleeper train sets for 35 years.
The proposed JV will be jointly owned by BHEL and TRSL, with both companies holding an equal 50% stake.
The JV will be incorporated as a private limited company with an initial paid-up share capital of Rs 50 lakh. Its registered office will be located in Delhi.
The partnership is aimed at providing long-term maintenance support for Vande Bharat sleeper train sets, strengthening the companies’ presence in India’s expanding passenger rail infrastructure and services segment.
