Prime Minister to launch first Vande Bharat Express in Goa

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the first Vande Bharat Express in Goa on June 3 via video conferencing. The train will run between Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and Goa's Madgaon station, covering the journey in approximately seven and a half hours.

The Vande Bharat Express is a state-of-the-art train that is indigenously made and equipped with world class amenities and advanced safety features. It will provide a faster and more comfortable travel option for people between Mumbai and Goa, and is expected to boost tourism in both states.
