An outraged External Affairs Ministry summoned Australian High Commissioner, Mr. Peter Varghese, for the explanation of the 10 attacks made during the last 24 hours.

So far, this is India's most aggressive move over the attacks against Indians in Australia.

Mr. S M Krishna, External Affairs Minister of India said this is not the correct time to take any action against the Australia and they should be given some more time.

After extreme pressure from India, the Australian Foreign Minister, Mr. Stephen Smith told Mr. Krishna in London that they have set up a high level ministerial working group to comprehensively study the craze of attacks on Indians.

Mr. Krishna said Australia is silent on whether all the attacks were racially motivated.
