Swoop Holdings Limited has partnered with Sterlite Technologies Limited (STL), a leading provider of optical and digital solutions, to enhance fibre connectivity for approximately 1,000 homes in Western Australia. As part of the collaboration, STL will supply Swoop Infrastructure with advanced Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) optical networking and connectivity solutions, aiming to strengthen the region’s digital infrastructure.
This partnership follows Swoop’s acquisition of conduit and fibre assets in Seacrest Estate near Geraldton and represents a key step in its broader strategy to expand fibre broadband networks for both retail and wholesale customers. The initiative is being spearheaded by Anthony Camilleri, Swoop’s Head of Infrastructure, as part of the company’s long-term commitment to delivering high-speed connectivity to Australian communities.
STL brings a proven track record of helping network operators deploy scalable and sustainable fibre networks. Its products are manufactured at facilities certified as “Zero Waste to Landfill,” reflecting the company’s dedication to environmental responsibility while maintaining the highest standards of performance and durability.
For this project, STL will provide a suite of Layer-1 optical solutions specifically designed for brownfield deployments. These include OptoHaul, a versatile single-fibre Plug & Play system suitable for underground, aerial, and direct-buried installations; micro cables that are slim, high-density, and engineered for air-blown deployment in microducts; compact optical closures like MAX and MicrOTP to optimize space and streamline installation; and rack-mounted optical termination units with pre-installed splitters for ease of deployment at Point-of-Presence sites.
Anthony Camilleri expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating that working with STL will allow Swoop to deliver ultra-reliable, high-speed fibre to homes, reinforcing its position as the preferred choice for developers seeking best-in-class connectivity. He emphasized Swoop’s commitment to offering exceptional value and service in the infrastructure space.
Rahul Puri, CEO of STL’s Optical Networking Business, echoed the sentiment, highlighting the significance of the collaboration in bringing next-generation broadband to regional Australia. He noted that STL’s advanced optical technology will enable Swoop to build a high-performance, reliable network that elevates the digital experience for end users. The project is a testament to Swoop’s continued investment in regional broadband infrastructure, ensuring underserved communities gain access to world-class internet services.
