The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has cancelled the Certificate of Registration (CoR) of six Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs), invoking powers under Section 45-IA (6) of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934.
The affected companies include Wofin Leasing and Finance Private Limited, Outram Properties Pvt Ltd, SCM Holding Private Limited, Kalash Vyapaar Private Limited, Everest Vinimay Private Limited — all based in Kolkata, West Bengal — and Adhikar Microfinance Private Limited, headquartered in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
According to RBI’s official order, five of these cancellations were dated May 16, 2025, while the cancellation for Adhikar Microfinance Private Limited was issued on May 20, 2025. These companies will no longer be permitted to conduct the business of a Non-Banking Financial Institution, as defined under clause (a) of Section 45-I of the RBI Act, 1934.
