Shares of Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) surged 3% on Monday after the conglomerate reported a 9.6% year-on-year rise in net profit for the September quarter, driven by robust growth in its retail and telecom businesses and a recovery in the oil-to-chemicals segment.
The stock gained 3% to Rs 1,459.90 on the BSE and Rs 1,460.60 on the NSE, adding Rs 53,115 crore to its market capitalisation.
