Mahindra Lifespace Developers Limited (MLDL), the real estate and infrastructure arm of the Mahindra Group, has been chosen as the preferred development partner for a major residential redevelopment project in Matunga, Mumbai. Spread across 1.53 acres and carrying a gross development value (GDV) of approximately Rs 1,010 crore, the project further strengthens the company’s presence in the Mumbai micro market.
The redevelopment will replace the existing housing cluster with a modern residential community featuring upgraded infrastructure, contemporary architecture, and improved lifestyle amenities. Located in a well-established neighbourhood, the site offers excellent connectivity to Shivaji Park, top educational institutions, healthcare centres, retail zones, and key transport links, including metro connectivity.
Vimalendra Singh, Chief Business Officer – Residential at Mahindra Lifespaces, said the mandate underscores the trust communities place in the company’s ability to deliver redevelopment that uplifts neighbourhoods. He added that the Matunga project is an opportunity to create homes aligned with modern living while preserving the area’s character.
