Domestic passenger vehicle dispatches from manufacturers to dealers increased 36.5% year-on-year (YoY) to 4,39,309 units in August, according to industry body Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).

Passenger vehicle dispatches stood at 3,21,901 units in August 2025, reflecting strong growth in the segment during the month.

Meanwhile, total two-wheeler sales rose 10.5% YoY to 20,34,698 units in August, compared with 18,41,954 units in the corresponding month last year, SIAM said.
