Indian benchmarks continued to hover in red during the noon trading session amid decline in IT and Teck stocks. In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap index, and the Nifty SmallCap index fell 0.9 per cent and 1 per cent, respectively.
Overseas, European stocks are seen opening broadly lower on Friday as U.S. President Donald Trump amped up trade threats, fueling uncertainties around the inflation and growth outlook.
Among others, shares of Mamata Machinery have moved higher by 8 per cent to Rs 525 on the BSE in Friday’s intra-day trade. While shares of water pumps manufacturer Oswal Pumps dropped as much as 6.8 per cent to hit an intraday low of Rs 685.55 per share.
At 12:37 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 82578.41 down by -611.87 points or by -0.74 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25158.05 down by -197.2 points or by -0.78 %.
