Indian equities moved higher on Thursday as investors reacted positively to the GST structure reforms announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Wednesday.
At 12:55 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 81029.89 up by 462.18 points or by 0.57 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24823.45 up by 108.4 points or by 0.44 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 81456.67 and intraday low of 80790.36 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24980.75 and intraday low of 24767.05
The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3494.80,+6.40%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 942.25,+5.10%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 2023.20,+2.89%), Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 1217.35,+1.90%), ITC Ltd. (Rs. 417.75,+1.52%), among others.
The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 282.85,-1.10%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 14765.10,-1.04%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 760.35,-1.03%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1452.50,-0.93%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1470.00,-0.63%), among others.
