Mid-Session: Nifty, Sensex volatile; realty stocks weigh

The Nifty50 and the Sensex were swinging between losses and gains in a volatile session as traders continued to monitor the US-Iran conflict and volatile energy prices.



At 12:50 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 74661.28 up by 97.36 points or by 0.13 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23154.8 up by 3.7 points or by 0.02 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 74983.29 and intraday low of 73949.76 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 23284.65 and intraday low of 22955.25



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 11002.90,+3.73%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 833.00,+1.96%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 868.50,+1.57%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 1751.15,+0.72%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 2972.00,+0.70%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bharat Electronics Ltd. (Rs. 424.60,-3.41%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1772.20,-1.57%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 378.85,-1.46%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1231.50,-1.36%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 2378.90,-1.30%), among others.



FMCG index was at 17597.02 up by 23.96 points or by 0.14%. Zydus Wellness Ltd. (Rs. 415.05,+2.77%), DOMS Industries Ltd. (Rs. 2133.85,+2.45%), Cupid Ltd. (Rs. 78.15,+2.42%), CCL Products India Ltd. (Rs. 1044.15,+1.92%), Godrej Consumer Products Ltd. (Rs. 1043.75,+1.57%),.



Oil&Gas index was at 26078.49 down by -785.61 points or by -2.92%. Adani Total Gas Ltd. (Rs. 516.25,-8.45%), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 147.70,-5.62%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 303.35,-4.94%), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 351.40,-4.76%), Oil India Ltd. (Rs. 459.05,-2.38%),.



The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4534 , shares advanced were 1202 while 3117 shares declined and 215 were unchanged.
