Indian equities are trading under pressure on early morning taking cues from their weak Asian peers, as Brent crude prices topped $120 a barrel on rising uncertainty over the war in the Middle East, fueling inflation and interest-rate concerns.
Overseas, Asian stock markets are trading mixed on Thursday, following the mixed cues from Wall Street overnight. Asian markets closed mostly higher on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the Indian rupee made a new low of 95.27 as rising oil prices keep the US dollar well bid while FPI outflows continue despite market moving up.
At 10:27 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 76410.54 down by -1085.82 points or by -1.4 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23828.6 down by -349.05 points or by -1.44 %.
The BSE Sensex touched intraday high of 77014.21 and intraday low of 76340.21 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24019.15 and intraday low of 23824.10.
